John Varga joined the STEM Academy as the instructor for the Introduction to Computer Integrated Manufacturing class in the fall of 2015. He brings to the STEM Academy a vast amount of real-world knowledge having worked in the engineering field for 23 years as a Senior Scientist and Engineering Fellow as an aerospace weapon designer and manager. He also spent 11 years as a college professor teaching math, physics, engineering and electronic circuits, 10 years as a broadcast television engineer ,3 year as a commercial aviation pilot and instructor and 3 years as a thriller fiction writer. John has seven children, all college graduates and enjoys sharing his home with his cats and dogs.
John earned his BS in Engineering Physics from the University of Arizona; his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona and his MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
