Junior Student Orientation

Wednesday, August 7, 2024  8 AM – NOON

Orientation for all  JUNIORS at the STEM Academy (STUDENTS ONLY)

Location: Main Campus CVCC, Framatome Building, 2nd floor in room 6201

During STEM Academy Orientation, you will be able meet your classmates, the staff of the STEM Academy, learn about policies and procedures for 2024-2025, have an orientation of the services available to you at CVCC, complete training for services through MyCVCC, and get your CVCC ID card. 

Links to registration paperwork can be found below to complete online and return or copies can be mailed to you to complete and return upon request.  

All registration paperwork will be due along with the student fee no later than Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

Student Fees for 2024-2025 are $50 and can be paid by cash, check, or on the STEM App (a $2.50 convenience fee will apply).   Click here to pay

Please email them to Lora Eborn via email: at lora.eborn@xlr8academy.com.  I know some links aren’t working right now; I’m trying to get updated forms for the website but not hold up the FERPA and Dual Enrollment form process. 😊

The following two forms should be turned in by mid-May.  Some families may be asked to submit revised copies; please read the emailed instructions carefully.

Textbook & Access Code Information

Students in Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Campbell, and Lynchburg will pick up their materials on the first day of classes on August 19, 2024.  Textbooks & access codes are provided to you by your Division School Board.

Students taking additional classes at CVCC (English, history, government) will need to obtain their materials prior to the first day of classes.  Students can access their class schedule in MyCVCC in SIS.  Materials may be obtained at the CVCC Bookstore or they may check out alternate college textbook sites (i.e., Chegg.com, Amazon textbooks, etc.).
