Parent/Student Meeting

We will hold a MANDATORY parent/student information session for ALL students (juniors & seniors) AND a parent/guardian on August 13, 2024 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm to review important STEM Academy Information, go over the policies and procedures in the STEM Academy Student Handbook, and review STEM Academy registration paperwork.   

All registration paperwork and student fees will be due by 11:59 pm on August 13, 2024.   

Meeting Location: This will be an IN-PERSON meeting on the main campus of CVCC, in Merritt Hall in the Multipurpose Room.

Links to Registration paperwork can be found below to complete and return to the STEM Academy no later than August 13, 2024.  All paperwork will be due along with the student fee no later than Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

Student Fees for 2024-2025 are $50 and can be paid by cash, check, or on the STEM App.  You can download the STEM App by texting “STEM APP” to 77977 or pay the student fees by clicking here (a $2.50 convenience fee will apply). 

Parent -Student Meeting Location

The meeting will be on the Main Campus of CVCC located at 3506 Wards Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502. We will meet in the Merritt Building in the Multipurpose Room.  There will be signs posted to direct you to the Merritt Building.

Textbook & Access Code Information

Students in Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Campbell, and Lynchburg will pick up their materials on the first day of classes on August 19, 2024. Textbooks & Access codes are provided to you by your Division School Board

Students taking additional classes at CVCC (English, History, Government)  will need to obtain their materials prior to the first day of classes.  Students can access their class schedule in MyCVCC in SIS.  Materials may be obtained at the CVCC Bookstore  or they may check out alternate college textbook sites (i.e., Chegg.com, Amazon textbooks, etc.)
